Abstract

The need for new computer applications have an accentuated influence to the networks and telecommunication progress in last time. It is known that change in telecommunication has never been faster than today; on the contrary chances are that it will not slow down in the foreseable future. Broadband applications like video audio and data transfers need guaranteed quality of service (QoS) parameters during the session. This condition implies new transfer technologies like ATM on the one part and new or modified transport layer protocols on the other part. Existing network layer protocols in LAN environment are based on broadcast features of IEEE 802.x networks. The bandwidth has no optimal utilization. In this paper I analyze some aspects of applications progress' effects to the integrated data networks.

Abstract

The software, we developed, provide management facilities to supervise network nodes and their topology. By this software you can make simple ground-plans of buildings included icons of nodes and their administrative information. You can also retriev management information -, such as load of interfaces, error occurrences, etc. - from these network devices, and make graphs and diagrams.
