The presentation introduces Microsoft’s new solution, called evidence-based security, comparing it briefly with other systems.

Most of today’s operating systems support only the role-based security model. The Internet’s fast spread necessitates distinguishing codes based on their origin not only on the user’s identity. Microsoft .NET platform’s evidence-based security offers a solution to this new challenge.
