PIPACS: Public Industrial Property Aggregate Collection for Search

The new database of the Hungarian Patent Office covers all titles of industrial property protection and offers unique search facilities on a single user interface.

You may have information on the bibliographic data of patent, utility model, trademark and design applications filed, and the relevant protection granted in Hungary, validity data and the official actions of the Hungarian Patent Office. In the case of patents and utility models, all this is completed by abstracts, claims, characteristic figures and complete specifications. With respect to trademarks, images and the classes according to the Nice Classification determining the scope of protection, and with respect to designs, all images belonging to the documents of protection are also accessible. In addition to search for the identifiers of the documents (registration, reference and publication numbers), the database is suitable both for thematic search using queries and classification codes and for search for the names of inventors, right holders and representatives.

As regards the contents of PIPACS database, it is the only and the most complete tool for the retrospective search of Hungarian industrial property protection. At the same time it also provides continuous information in a format corresponding to that of the official gazette. It is available on the Internet and on optical disc. Besides the database, the DVD disc also includes MSZH 2001, a programme package introducing official industrial property procedures, as well as a full text database containing a patent methodological guide, articles of the Industrial Property Review and important industrial property legislation.
