We started trials to study of usage of Apple XServe multimedia server to help teaching work in this way too. On the one hand we intended to study methods of storing and access of different type of multimedia materials, on the other hand to study of methods of live broadcast. In our essay we are presenting our storing system on multimedia server, structure of so-called ?Médiatár?, method of its using, possibility of upload, administration and access of multimedia material.

We touch upon the method of live broadcast used on intranet at our university (programs, sessions of senate, lectures), showing used devices, possibility of archiving of live coverage, problems on different displaying devices.

In parallel with trials of usage of multimedia server we tested the Apple TV searching its employment on different areas of education using the original functions of it and searching the possible expansion of its functions. We present our invented conception and the result of development that makes possible on an easy way to display the multimedia materials stored on server using the original functions of Apple TV.

In our essay we are presenting the multimedia materials (voice, picture, video and presentation) with the help of Apple TV, highlighting the advantages and specifications of usage. We list of main technical parameters of used devices and the system requirement. We mention the upload and administration of multimedia materials and the USB keys using to identify teachers.

We talk about sharing materials stored in our system beyond lectures by the multimedia players used nowadays by a lot of students (podcasting).

We give the main features of possible directions of further development at our university and within the scope of higher and public education.
