The basic of the development of the Hungarian Library System is the National Library Strategic Plan, the "Portal Program". One of the key areas of the plan is the modernization of the library electronic services. The main objective is for anybody to get electronic information from anywhere. The achive this aim we have to develop:

• the different databases
• a common surface to the different national databases
• web services
• value-added services
• new ICT-s
• nonstop services in the libraries
• personalized costumer services
• digitalization
• librarian trainings
• LLL

The financial resources of the tasks are in the Europian Social Found and supported by the Europian Union. There are four main Hungarian library projects of the Europian Union. One for the development of the ICTof the libraries, the second one for the development of the modernization of the library services, training and LLL, the third one for the integration of the common services among some academic and public libraries which work in the same city, and the forth for the digitalization. The mission of this development not only a better service of the library field but a quality service for the users.
