The number of widely available location-based and context-aware services in mobile and desktop environments is increasing, however, these services are often hard to access and not useful enough. In our research we aim to develop a system that supports the use and development of complex location-based and context-aware client-service type applications and services.
There exist numerous applications that are capable of applying either the users? position or other user specific characteristics. It is common to use the current position in the field of mobile services, while the desktop applications take the users? preferences into account in most cases. To create valuable and interesting services it is necessary to combine and apply both the users? circumstances and characteristics. This core concept is in the center of our research producing the value and uniqueness of our system.
