Abstract

Open Access (OA) was born in Hungary with the Budapest Open Access Initiative in February 2002. Still that year, OA left the country and has not returned. The Tutorial aims to give an overview of the history and rationale of the concept, analyze stakeholders, enumerate national and international projects, and predict the future. The final aim is to build a strategy on how to make OA work in Hungary.
