Development of technological digital learnig material at higher education

Nowdays the usage of information and communication technologys is elemental at higher education, too. The students, who get out of public education, are accustomed to the digital learning materials, cooperative methodologies, the collaboration, and the WEB 2.0 also.

For the higher education it is a challenge to open the net-generation’s eyes and to demonstrate that how it can follow the technological requirements they have made.

“The development of learning material and content especially at the courses of mathematics, natural science, technology and informatics” application was announced among the TÁMOP 4.1.2-08/1/A application. In the framework of this we are working out the development and modernization of learning materials at the BSc Programme in Earth Science Engineering at the Faculty of Earth Science and Engineering at the University of Miskolc.

The our aim is to creating such a digital learning material which is suitable for the educational form, serves pedagogic aims, takes the advantages of technological opportunities and takes into consideration the students’ and the teachers’ preparedness.

In my lecture I will review the definition of e-paper, e-book, e-learning material, e-learning and blended learning, and I will introduce the process of our development of learning material including planning and publicising. I will introduce the possible formal elements, the structure of the learning materials, the process of forming and processing and the system of asset which is on hand. I will present the versions of the learning material before and after publication, and the educational portal which can visualize only the learning material tasks, and at the same time it can handle the whole educational process from the administration of education affairs to the collaboration. It can record the portal users’ all activities, and it can measure the time passed in the system.

At the result of the development 16 subjects of the BSc Programme in Earth Science Engineering at the Faculty of Earth Science and Engineering at the University of Miskolc will be made as digital learning material:
