Geoip based content-distribution system in the Hungarian Electronic Library

The content-provider infrastructure of the Hungarian Electronic Library got gradually more and more complex during it's 15 year lifetime. In the early 2000s the first batch of servers were deployed in the neighbouring countries, to make the service more accessible for hungarians living abroad. To simplify the access of the contents, a geoip-based content distribution architecture was introduced in early 2011. With this new architecture in place, readers automatically access the MEK content using the server deployed in their own country, and the URLs remain uniform, too.
