In today’s education environment, distance learning has become an increasingly important issue. It is astonishing how many copyright-related questions turn up when considering the case of online available educational materials and their preparation. These educational materials point to more complex questions than is the case with printed school books. Are we allowed to use photos, videos, texts available on homepages, which do not include any author’s data? This presentation aims to show not only the obstacles arising from copyright regulation, but also possibilities provided by copyright law, which ensure enough creative room for creative persons.
