The Nereus international consortium is integrating access to the economics resources of key libraries, academic publications and other online resources in Europe and beyond.  It helps members share information, expertise and knowledge, connect existing essential research resources. The project is co-funded by the European Union.  In 2011 the Central library joined the consortium to represent the research community of the Corvinus University of Budapest.

From September 2007 till February 2010, Nereus managed the European funded project "Network of European Economists Online" (NEEO).  As a result of this activity the Economists Online portal has been launched. It showcases some of the world's leading institutions, their scholars and their academic publications; contains over 900,000 bibliographic references, many with links to open access full text; combines content with RePEc archives to provide a new information service to the economist.

Joining the consortium was a two-stage process. After signing an agreement and joining the platforms to exchange knowledge, the second stage was to make the content of the Corvinus Research repository compatible, to present their metadata and author profiles according to the required standards.
