One of the most important tasks for libraries in higher education is to preserve and supply the knowledge of the institutes and make them more widely available. In our present information society the best method is the electric information service. It makes the accumulated knowledge in higher education easily and fast available. It makes search and browse easy between records.

In the first part of my presentation I’ll expound our early ambitions, problems, and the success of repository-building. We are HunTéka-user, so the best solution was the JaDoX software from Monguz Kft. For example we supplied pictures from our old rare book ’Das Alpenflora’ to the Hungarian Digital Image Library. We have scanned and archived pictures from our archives with the use of own material resources since 2011.

We finished a TÁMOP-project at the end of 2011. We uploaded dissertations and old rare books under this project. From the beginning of 2011 we have archived and supplied PhD-dissertations, and publications of researchers and teachers into the Szent István Collections (SZIA). For this project a large-scale software development was required. We had to make new schemes, new MARC-standardizings, and we made a unified interface for all collections.

In the second part of my presentation I’ll expound our results achieved so far. I’ll give detailed information about the whole collections, their contents, and their structures. The present collections in the Szent István Collections: Image library (Képkönyvtár), PhD, Dissertations (Szakdolgozatok), Fulltext (publications).

In the third part of my presentation I’ll present our collections through browses, searches, and I’ll show a few records, and documents too.
