The integration of electronic educational materials, learner support features, tutorials and instructor portals in the teaching-learning process has proven to be an effective means of supporting the learning effort. In 2009 during an institution wide survey regarding the use of college-provided laptops in the learning process students were also asked to identify the most frequently used electronic learning options. According to the results of said survey 87.5% of those asked use instructor webpages, making this feature the leading learning support option.

Inspired and motivated by the aforementioned results I performed my own survey concerning the respective instructor web pages. My research focused on identifying the percentage of full and part time instructors employing webpages in enhancing their teaching effort while providing continuous course support.  The survey also concentrated on the content and the type of information and services supplied by the given webpages and portals. Additional goals included the exploration of the role, use, and utility of instructor webpages in the education process along with the assessment of instructors’ web page and portal related views.  In addition to sharing the results of said research my presentation will provide an analysis of the respective data.
