In our presentation we give a brief summary of why we began to deal with the idea of building a scientific repository and how we started the project. Since we have been working on our repository for a relatively short time, we mainly focus on the initial difficulties, challenges and decisions.
First, we introduce the selection of the repository software, its installation difficulties, and then the upcoming questions from content gathering and copyright problems to the unsolved tasks. We also present our experience in the reception and the promotion of the repository and the questions of metadata optimization and searchability.
While introducing the future plans, we give an outline on the utilization possibilities and the development directions of our repository, and the further pitfalls that may be predicted, too. Our presentation is built especially from the librarians-administrators’ point of view, delivering end-user experiences for information specialists/IT professionals and librarian colleagues urging further cooperation.
