Digital preservation issues - Who, what and who should preserve the memories of digital world?

In the National Library we have deal with digital documents aquisition, preservation and service.
During our work some technical and coneptual questions have been raised which worth to thinking
about together.
On the Internet more and more documents appeard on the social community sites, e.g. Flickr,
SlideShare, Scribd. The huge mount of digital information are changing very fast, grow and
disappear.
What is the role of the classical memory institutions in preservation of these documents?
Appropriate or not the old technics and methods in the digital preservation? It is necessary
or who should select in this preservation process?
The presentation will who some questions in this subject and will show few answer
which the National Library has been given in the last years.
