Integrated library systems try to support and automatize the library work processes to a wide extent. The introduction of these systems has taken place in large libraries, however the tuning of the work processes and the system to one another gives permanent tasks to both library workers and the deliverer of the integrated library system.

As in our days more and more library services rest on information technological bases, there is a demand that the existing library system should not only support the service of strictly taken library tasks, but help other information technological services make use of its stored information that functioned in a totally separated way earlier. During the planning of the to-be introduced services, the new opportunities provided by the library system should not be left out of consideration.

This presentation focuses on the solutions which are expected to meet local claims to the integrated library system, e.g. fixed forward lending of visual aids. We also introduce a selection of library services applied in the Centre for Learning of Pécs, e.g. the actuation of entrances by reader’s card, which are based on data gained from the library system in certain ways.
