During the last couple of months Bitcoin was mentioned quite frequently in internet forums and newspapers. We give an overview how Bitcoin works, what is the cryptogtaphic background. We touch the the problems, rumors, shortcoimings and doubts associated with it,
and try to give an explanation for its success.
