On of the projects of the Educatio Public Services Nonprofit LLC is “Research on learning supported by mobile devices (m-learning) and the development of a new methodology” in the second phase of the TÁMOP-3.1.1-11/1-2012-0001 programme.
Smartphones are the most popular devices among students and these are substantially available for students and teachers. The mobile phones nowadays represent more a problem than a good educational chance for schools. Several schools are involved in the pedagogical research and pilot project in four school subjects: Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Geography. The students involved in the pilot use different mobile apps including the GPS technology, augmented reality or even 3D modelling. Teachers develop new methods and lesson plans of introducing m-learning in the educational practice for three operating systems (Android, iOS and Windows Phone).
The main product of this research and development project will be a paper based and an electronic handbook about using smartphones in education.
