Twenty years back in the security area we have been chasing viruses and our biggest concern was how to publish a webpage to the internet. The idea of the antivirus-firewall pair has burnt so deep into the minds of IT and non IT people that the sheer belief of solving every security problem using them is still holding firm.
But what outlines today's security issues demands more colorful and more in sync with the risks approach - lets be honest - most of the organizations still just dream about. Actually would dream about if they knew of their existence or they would understand the nature, the past and the future of the risks threatening their systems.
In this presentation we try to find the answers to how the innocence of private networks has got lost, what kind of pretty futuristic technologies already existing out there today that are mostly not used by companies or organizations and what the future brings us in 5-10 years when today's risks will grow to pose even bigger if not tremendously bigger threat.
